Is the message from Glede genuine?
Check the sender, the address and what we never ask for — and switch the whole company to link-free gift messages.
Updated 28 August 2026
A gift from Glede arrives unannounced, and it asks you to install an app. That is unfortunately the same shape as a phishing attempt, so checking first is exactly the right instinct. Here is what you can verify.
What a genuine message from Glede looks like
- The email is sent from noreply@glede.app, with the sender name "Glede". Look at the address itself, not just the name — anyone can put anything in the name.
- The SMS has "Glede" as the sender.
- Links in the message go to glede.app. Press and hold the link, or hover over it, and read the address before you tap. Gift links from us always start with https://glede.app/.
- The message says who gave you the gift. If you do not recognise the name, ask your employer before doing anything else.
What we never ask you for
- BankID or bank codes. As a recipient you never need BankID. You sign in to the Glede app with your phone number and a code we send by SMS.
- A password. Recipients do not have one.
- Card number, CVC or PIN.
- Payment. Receiving a gift costs you nothing.
Want to skip the link entirely? You can always download the Glede app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in with your phone number. If the gift is genuine it is waiting there — without you tapping anything in the message.
The message looks fake — what do I do?
Do not tap the link
And do not reply to the message.
Check the Glede app instead
Sign in with your phone number. If there is no gift there, the message probably was not from us.
Forward the message to us
Send it to support@glede.app. We want to see it — even if you are only unsure.
Already given something away?
Contact your bank immediately and block the card. Then report it to the police.
For companies: send gift messages without links
Many organisations train employees never to click a link in unsolicited email. That turns our gift link into an obstacle. So you can switch on a variant where the message contains no link at all.
Sign in to send.glede.app
You need to be an admin to change the setting.
Go to Settings → Security
You will find "Send gift messages without links" there.
Switch it on
The change is saved immediately.
This is what the gift message becomes:
- The email and the SMS contain no links and no buttons.
- The recipient downloads the Glede app themselves and signs in with the phone number the gift was sent to.
- Every recipient needs a phone number. The app is the only way in once the message has no link, and signing in uses the phone number. Adding a recipient with only an email address gives you an error when the order is created.
- The personal greeting you write is not included in the email. The recipient sees it in the Glede app instead, alongside the gift. The preview in the send flow shows this.
- The reminders we send contain no links either.
The setting applies to new orders. Orders you have already created are sent with the setting they were created with, so switching it on mid-campaign does not change the gifts already queued.
If you distribute the gifts yourself — as a PDF or a gift link you send out internally — Glede sends the recipient no message at all. The setting then has no effect, and what the recipient sees is up to you.
