What does it cost to send a gift?

The gift amount plus a 5% service fee, VAT included. No minimum fee and no subscription. A 500 kr gift costs 525 kr, and the recipient gets the full 500 kr. You can send from 60 to 20,000 kr per gift.

Where can the recipient use the gift card?

Wherever Mastercard is accepted — in store with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and online. The recipient can also pass the amount on to a charity. Glede cannot be used for financial transactions, so some merchants, transaction types and industries are excluded.

How does the recipient get the gift?

As an SMS with a link to the gift, your greeting and the card you chose. The recipient downloads the Glede app, adds the gift card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and can use it right away. You are notified when the gift is sent, opened and used.

Anyone with a Norwegian or Swedish mobile number. You do not need an address — just the number. Entered the wrong number? Correct it yourself in the app and resend.

Can I send the gift on a specific day?

Yes. Pick a date at checkout and the gift is delivered that morning. Until it is sent you can cancel in the app and get the full amount back.

Can I cancel after the gift is sent?

No. When you choose to send right away, you accept that the gift is delivered immediately and that the right of withdrawal does not apply — this is stated at checkout before you pay. A scheduled gift, on the other hand, can be cancelled right up until it is sent.

How long is the gift valid?

The recipient has 4 months to activate the gift card, and then 12 fee-free months from activation. After that a monthly maintenance fee is deducted from the balance. The dates are shown in the app.

Why do I need BankID?

Once the gifts you have bought add up to more than 1 500 kr — counting the one you are sending now. Glede is a payment service and is required to verify your identity when you pass that limit. It happens as a step at checkout, and your greeting is kept safe in the meantime. You must be 18 to send.

Can I send to several people at once?

For now you send one gift to one person at a time. To send to many — employees or clients, for example — you do it as a business at send.glede.app.

Sending on behalf of a business?

Then use Glede for business at send.glede.app: invoicing and EHF, sending to hundreds at once, tax-free gifts to employees and your own logo on the gift. The service fee is 3%, minimum 30 kr per gift card.
