From NTNU to 12,000 businesses
We met during our studies at NTNU, with backgrounds in computer science, marine engineering and entrepreneurship. What we had in common was that we all wanted to start a technology company with a positive impact on the world.
During and after our studies, we received gift cards from companies and noticed that the gift card industry hadn't kept up with technological development. It was simply incredibly cumbersome to use the gift cards we received.
We spoke with dozens of gift card recipients, and the consensus was clear. Gift cards were not easy to use, and they often ended up forgotten. Gift card senders in companies didn't have it any better — ordering with Excel lists, mailings by post, and no insights.
That's why we decided to create a gift card service that puts technology and user experience at the centre. And that helps spread a little more joy in the world.
