When are gifts to employees tax-free?

Skatteetaten har egne regler for når gaver og gavekort kan være skattefrie i arbeidsforhold og styreverv. Som hovedregel kan gaver som ikke er kontanter være skattefrie når:

gaven gis på grunn av arbeidsforhold eller styreverv
den samlede verdien av gaver i løpet av året ikke overstiger 5 000 kroner per person

Reglene kan være sammensatte og avhenger blant annet av rolle, total verdi i året og type gave.

Merk: Glede-gavekort kan ikke tas ut i kontanter eller brukes til finansielle tjenester, inkludert pengeoverføring og investeringer i fond, aksjer eller kryptovaluta. Hensikten med Glede-gavekortet er at det brukes innen utløpsdatoen. Fleksibiliteten er ment å gi deg som mottaker frihet til å velge en gave du faktisk ønsker deg.
