How much does it cost to send a gift card?
The standard price for new customers is a 3% service fee, minimum 30 NOK per gift card, plus VAT on the fee. New Norwegian business accounts paying in NOK by card also pay a 2% card fee — invoice has none.

A personal song in the app
When the song studio is available, choose “Song” next to “Gift tip” in the greeting step. Write a few details about the person in the “Lyrics or ideas” field, or write the full lyrics yourself. The “Suggest lyrics” button below the field turns your ideas into an editable draft. Add a little about the person before requesting a suggestion. “Create song” uses the text currently in the field. Starting the song closes the studio and adds a loading song card to the page row. Keep working on your gift while it records, then listen when it is ready. The song must be ready or removed before payment. Choose 10, 20 or 30 seconds. Lyric suggestions adapt to your chosen length. You can generate songs up to 5 times a day without paying for attempts. The studio shows how many attempts you have left. Your first order with a song includes it for free. Later orders add NOK 30 including VAT in the cart for your chosen song, regardless of how many versions you tried. The song appears separately before payment and does not reduce the gift amount. A failed generation does not use up your free song.
Choose a suggested genre or tap “Suggest your own +” to enter your own genre. New orders start with a new song; previous songs are available from the “Recent songs” link below the subtitle. The song has its own greeting page for both sender and recipient. The song defaults to the first page, and you can drag it to any position in the page row. In the app, the gift tip appears on the last page together with the amount; on the gift link it is shown as the last page of the greeting. The song plays automatically when its page opens in the app, continues as you turn pages and pauses while a video plays. After a few seconds on the song page, the card turns to the next page by itself, or a second after the recipient taps “Play song”. If the recipient pauses before then, the card stays put. “Song playing” at the top shows that the song is still on. On the gift link, your browser may require you to tap play. In the app, “Share song” shares the song as an audio file, without the gift amount or gift link. Your text is sent to the music service; use your own words and avoid private information.
It is free to create a business account. You pay no setup fee, monthly fee, or binding period — only for the gift cards you send.
Standard price for new customers
The standard price is 3% of the gift amount, with a minimum fee of 30 NOK per gift card. If you send a gift card worth 500 NOK, 3% is only 15 NOK, so the minimum fee of 30 NOK applies.
If the company has used Glede for some time, you may have a different minimum fee or percentage rate. The price in the order overview before you send, and the specification on the invoice, is the rate that applies to your company.
Card fee on card payments
If you pay by card, a card fee of 2% of the order total is added, plus VAT on the fee. The fee corresponds to our card processing costs and is shown in the payment step before you choose. Invoice and EHF have no card fee. The fee applies to Norwegian businesses paying in Norwegian kroner, with accounts created on or after 1 September 2026 — the payment step always shows whether it applies to you.
VAT on service and card fees
Norwegian business customers pay 25% VAT on the service fee and any card fee. The currency exchange fee is invoiced without VAT. The gift amount itself does not have VAT upon issuance. The invoice and receipt show the gift amount, fees, and VAT on separate lines.
Example: gift card for 1,000 NOK
- Gift Amount: 1,000 NOK
- Service fee: 30 kr
- VAT on the service fee: 7.50 NOK
- Total to pay: 1,037.50 NOK
The recipient receives the entire gift amount of 1,000 NOK. The service fee and VAT are the company's expense and are not deducted from the gift.
If you pay by card, the card fee is added: 2% of 1,037.50 NOK = 20.75 NOK, plus 5.19 NOK VAT — a total of 1,063.44 NOK. With invoice you pay 1,037.50 NOK.
If the gift is sent in another currency
When the company pays in one currency and the recipient receives the gift in another, there is usually a currency exchange fee of 5% in addition. The fee appears on a separate invoice line. The fee is calculated on the gift value converted to the payment currency, excluding the service fee, and is invoiced without VAT in both Norway and abroad. The exact fee and VAT are displayed in the order summary before you send.

Pricing for larger sends
If you are sending larger volumes, you can ask for an offer that fits the volume rather than using the standard price.
