It is free to create a business account. You pay no setup fee, monthly fee, or binding period — only for the gift cards you send.
Standard price for new customers
The standard price is 3% of the gift amount, with a minimum fee of 30 NOK per gift card. If you send a gift card worth 500 NOK, 3% is only 15 NOK, so the minimum fee of 30 NOK applies.
If the company has been using Glede for a while or entered into a separate agreement, you may have a different minimum fee or percentage rate. The price in the order overview before you send, and the specification on the invoice, is the rate that applies to your company.
VAT only applies to the service fee
There is 25% VAT on the service fee. The gift amount itself does not have VAT upon issuance. The invoice shows the gift amount, service fee, and VAT on separate lines.
Example: gift card for 1,000 NOK
- Gift Amount: 1,000 NOK
- Service fee: 30 kr
- VAT on the service fee: 7.50 NOK
- Total to pay: 1,037.50 NOK
The recipient receives the entire gift amount of 1,000 NOK. The service fee and VAT are the company's expense and are not deducted from the gift.
If the gift is sent in another currency
When the company pays in one currency and the recipient receives the gift in another, there is usually a currency exchange fee of 5% in addition. The exact amount is displayed in the order summary before you send.
This is not the same as the recipient's currency markup when the gift card is used. See What does it cost to use the gift card? for the recipient's fees.
