How much does it cost to use the gift card?

Paying in the card currency is fee-free for 12 months after activation. Activating the card, adding it to Apple Pay or Google Wallet and checking the balance is also free.

Fees may apply in three cases.

1. Payment in foreign currency: 2.99%

If you pay in a currency other than Norwegian kroner, a currency surcharge of 2.99% will apply. It covers the cost of exchange and is standard for card payments abroad.

2. Exchanging the gift to another currency: 5%

If you choose to receive the gift in a currency other than the one it was sent in, a 5% gift currency exchange fee is deducted from the original amount. This is separate from the card surcharge above.

3. More than 12 months since activation: NOK 34 per month

If you have not used up the gift card within 12 months after activation, an account maintenance fee of NOK 34 per month will apply. It is automatically deducted from the balance, and stops when the card is empty.
