How long is the gift card valid for?
You have 4 months to activate, and 12 months to spend the money after that. How to request an extension.

There are two deadlines to keep track of: one to activate the gift card, and one to use the money.
4 months to activate
The gift link you receive by SMS or email is valid for 4 months (120 days) from when it was sent. By then you must have opened the link and activated the card. If you do not do so, the gift card expires.
If you have not activated the gift card, we remind you: first 10 days after the gift was sent, and again 30 days before the activation deadline expires. If you have already activated the card, we will not send any further reminders.
12 months to use the money
Once the card is activated, you can use the balance free of charge for 12 months.
After 12 months, an account maintenance fee of NOK 34 per month accrues, which is deducted from the balance. The card does not stop working — but the amount gets smaller with each passing month. We will not notify you when the fee starts, so make a note of the date you activated the card.
The gift link expired before activation — can I get an extension?
Yes, in most cases. If you have missed the activation deadline, contact us and provide the gift ID — it is in the original SMS or email. We will extend the deadline and resend the link.
Can't find the original message? The sender can find the order ID in the order overview on send.glede.app, and request an extension on your behalf.
For senders: what happens to unused gifts?
You can follow in the order overview which gifts have been used. If a gift is not activated within 4 months, contact us — we can resend the link with a new deadline.
