SpotOn automated their bonus program and grew sales by 20%

SpotOn is owned by Elektroimportøren and sells fully installed electrical services. They want to make a sometimes opaque industry more predictable and easy for customers to navigate, while delivering high-quality service.

SpotOn has partner agreements that incentivize over 500 sales partners to resell services from their portfolio. To grow sales through partners, they decided to build an internal dashboard where sales partners can see the bonus points they have earned. Once they have accumulated enough points, the team wanted to let partners redeem them for a gift card.

André Swensen is CEO at SpotOn, and he explains that they were looking for two things in particular:

"We wanted an automated system where we did not have to send out gift cards manually. That would have been unnecessarily time-consuming for us. On top of that, we wanted an incentive that was attractive to absolutely everyone. That is essential for a bonus program to work," he says.

Integrated in a couple of hours

André heard about Glede from a friend, and after reading through the website he thought it looked promising. He then set up a meeting with the Glede team.

"I realized early on that this would be a great fit for us. Glede had every feature we needed in their API, and the documentation was easy to follow. It was also a real plus that we could design the gift with SpotOn’s colors and logo," André says.

It was plug and play. Our developer spent a couple of hours implementing and testing the API integration.

A simple bonus program

André shares a bit about how the program is set up.

"Sales partners earn bonus points based on how much they sell. At any time they can see how many points they have in our internal dashboard. Once they hit 500 kr in earned bonus, they can redeem it for a Glede gift card as a reward. It happens automatically when they click a button inside the system."

Here is what he appreciates about Glede:

20% growth in partner sales

André has been tracking how partner sales have developed since the program launched in March. The result is a 20% increase in sales through partner agreements, and more than 250 sales partners have started earning bonus points.

"The program has been a big success for us so far! We have measured a 20% increase in partner sales since launching the bonus program. It has also generated a lot of positive buzz in our internal workspace."

One of our sales partners has already redeemed 8 gift cards in bonus.

André emphasizes how impressed he is by how easy the program has been to set up and run, while still giving sales partners a reward they actually want.
