Sprint puts real time and energy into making sure every candidate has a great experience with the recruitment process. Julie Tufte-Johnsen runs recruitment at Sprint, and describes some of the things they do to make candidates feel valued.
“We tend to follow up with candidates by phone to build a real relationship. At the right moments we also send gifts — Morgenlevering breakfasts, physical gift cards or homemade gift parcels.”
Candidates love it, but it has not always been smooth sailing for Sprint. Some of the gifting headaches Julie has run into:
- Time-intensive work: Sending individual gifts to a lot of recipients takes serious time.
- Missing addresses: "We needed the right address and apartment number for every gift," Julie says. "That is a bit of a drag because it requires effort from the recipient, and the lovely surprise gets spoiled when they have to be told something is on the way."

A new and easier way to give
Glede was incredibly easy to understand and use. We sent the gifts as a group order, and all we needed was the recipients’ name and email or phone number.
