Paying online with the gift card
Find the card number, expiry date and CVC in the Glede app, and use them like any other card at checkout.
Updated 31 August 2026
The Glede gift card is a Mastercard, so you can use it online exactly like an ordinary bank card. You need the card number, the expiry date and the CVC — all three are in the Glede app.
Find the card details
Open the Glede app and pick the card
If you have several gift cards, choose the one you want to pay with. Check that the balance covers the amount.
Tap the three-dot menu
It is at the top right of the card.
Choose “Show card details”
The card number, expiry date and CVC appear. For security they are only shown for a short while at a time.
Enter them at checkout
Enter the card number as a card number, not as a gift code. For the name on the card, use your own name.
The CVC is not the same as the one on your bank card, and the expiry date is not the same as the gift's activation deadline. Use the numbers shown in the app.
I cannot find “Show card details”
The menu item only appears once the card is activated and the app has loaded it. If it is missing:
- Is the card activated? If not, see How to activate the gift card.
- Do you get an error when you open the app? Then the menu is not the problem — check system status and read The app shows an error message you do not recognise.
- Do you have the latest version of the app? Update from the App Store or Google Play.
The payment is declined at checkout
The most common cause is that the amount is higher than the balance — the whole payment is then declined, not just the difference. Most online shops cannot split a payment across two cards, so either keep the total within the balance or use another card. See The card was declined for the other causes.
Some shops ask for an address linked to the card. Use your own — the gift card is not registered to any particular address with us.
